Ellen Mary Elizabeth Green (1874-1965), youngest daughter of of Michael Green and Ellen Murphy, at the age of 24, had moved to Geelong West, and married William Laurance Bryant (1871-1935), a 27 year old labourer/farmer from Cavendish (near Hamilton, Victoria).

The marriage (#4686), in 1898, in Geelong, was witnessed by Bridget Green (my great grandmother) and William Dunn (Ellen's sister's husband).(Church of England)

William Bryant's parents were Richard Bryant (from Cornwall) and Margaret Nolan (spelled Nowlen in the listing of their marriage in the Pioneers Index) married in 1867 in Cavendish. Their children were all born in Cavendish:
Richard, born 1868, William Laurance 1871, Mary 1874 (died 1879), and Ann 1876 (#1397).
Richard married Mary Jane Hongsip in 1888.
Richard senior, William's father, had had two children previously to Elizabeth Mulston in Cavendish in 1861 (both died before 12 months)

Ellen Mary Elizabeth and William Bryant, shortly after their marriage, moved to Perth and had three children.

William Bryant died 28/7/1935 (from Mt. Lawley) aged 64*
